BOB HARDY

BOB HARDY

Bob Hardy joined KMOX in 1960 and became one of its most respected news voices. He produced more than a dozen major documentaries, covered political conventions for nearly three decades, and broke barriers with international broadcasts — including live reports from Moscow and the Middle East.

Hardy’s calm, no-nonsense demeanor on the air as he anchored broadcasts of a Presidential assassination attempt, weather disasters, floods or major fires were why KMOX became the go-to station anytime news happened.

Honored with awards including the Peabody and National Headliner, Hardy’s career embodied the journalistic excellence the station’s listeners had come to expect. Until his passing in 1993, he remained the steady, trusted voice of KMOX.
